Simon Le Bon, frontman of Duran Duran and one of British music’s most enduring icons, has been confirmed for Bowie: Live on the Loch, the landmark two-day charity celebration marking the 10th anniversary of David Bowie’s passing. The event will take place at the beautiful 5 star destination Cameron House on the banks of Loch Lomond on 7 and 8 November 2026, in aid of Save the Children.
Duran Duran have paid tribute to David Bowie throughout their career, celebrating one of their greatest inspirations through a series of acclaimed recordings and live performances spanning more than four decades. From early covers of “Fame” and “Diamond Dogs” to memorable live renditions of “Starman,” “Rebel Rebel,” and a moving “Planet Earth”/“Space Oddity” medley following Bowie’s passing in 2016, his influence has remained woven into the band’s story. Le Bon’s connection to Bowie is especially deep and personal: Duran Duran opened for Bowie on his landmark Glass Spider Tour in 1987, and in the years that followed he forged a genuine friendship with the artist. In 2021, the band released a heartfelt recording of “Five Years” on what would have been Bowie’s birthday, alongside a performance for the global A Bowie Celebration livestream. For Le Bon, whose own songwriting was profoundly inspired by Bowie, these tributes reflect not only admiration for one of music’s greatest innovators, but also a lasting personal connection to the artist who helped shape his creative journey.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest frontmen of his generation, Le Bon leads Duran Duran, a group who have sold well over 100 million records worldwide, amassed 21 UK Top 20 hits, been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The band remain the only artists to have written a Bond theme that reached No. 1 around the world. In November 2023, Le Bon was appointed an MBE by King Charles III in recognition of his contributions to music and charity.
Joining Le Bon in a new wave of additions to the line-up are Bernard Fowler, Beth Orton, Camille O’Sullivan, Alison Mosshart and Terry Edwards.
Bernard Fowler is one of music’s most prolific and celebrated vocalists, a dynamic performer whose extraordinary range has graced the recordings of an astonishing array of artists. Best known to millions worldwide as the backing vocalist and percussionist for The Rolling Stones, a partnership spanning 34 years and 14 studio albums, Fowler has also worked with Herbie Hancock, Robert Plant, Rod Stewart, Alice Cooper, Philip Glass, Yoko Ono and Duran Duran, among countless others. A founding member of the pioneering New York Citi Peech Boys, he was also an integral part of funk collective Tackhead.
Beth Orton is one of Britain’s most acclaimed and singular songwriters, a pioneer of ‘folktronica’, blending acoustic folk with electronic production that proved startlingly influential. She broke through internationally with her 1996 debut album Trailer Park, building a devoted following that grew with her BRIT Award-winning follow-up Central Reservation (1999). Her most recent record, the self-produced Weather Alive (2022), is the latest in a body of eight studio albums that stands as one of the most important catalogues in British music over the past three decades.
Camille O’Sullivan has built a formidable international reputation as a uniquely theatrical and compelling performer. Dubbed “Queen of the Edinburgh Festival” by the BBC, she is an original star of the Olivier Award-winning La Clique and has sold out performances at venues including the Sydney Opera House, the Royal Albert Hall and the Royal Festival Hall. O’Sullivan is celebrated above all for her intensely dramatic interpretations of the songs of David Bowie, alongside Nick Cave, Tom Waits and Jacques Brel – transforming each performance into an extraordinary theatrical event in its own right.
Alison Mosshart is one of the most compelling and distinctive rock voices of the 21st century. Co-founder and vocalist of acclaimed duo The Kills, a partnership she has sustained with Jamie Hince for more than two decades, she is also the lead singer of blues-punk supergroup The Dead Weather, formed alongside Jack White. Her collaborators over the years include the Arctic Monkeys, Primal Scream, Foo Fighters, Gang of Four and Billy Idol. A true multi-disciplinary artist, Mosshart has exhibited her paintings in galleries around the world and published her debut book, CAR MA.
Terry Edwards is a multi-instrumentalist and bandleader of extraordinary range, whose career spans five decades, from punk-funk pioneer with The Higsons to collaborations with PJ Harvey, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Siouxsie Sioux, Yoko Ono and Madness. His connection to Bowie’s world is both personal and particular: an encounter at Mute Studios led to Edwards sending Bowie his John Peel session recording of ‘Five Years’, which earned him an invitation to perform at Bowie’s own Meltdown Festival at the Royal Festival Hall. He has since performed alongside Bowie collaborators including Earl Slick, Mike Garson, Tony Visconti and Woody Woodmansey.

The weekend is a powerful continuation of Bowie’s philanthropic legacy and his profound connection to Scotland – from the birth of his iconic Ziggy Stardust persona, to his legendary 1997 performance at the Barrowlands in Glasgow. The event also coincides with the 60th anniversary of Bowie’s first show in Scotland, on 3 April 1965 at the Palais in Dundee as David Bowie & The Buzz, supporting Johnny Kidd & The Pirates. All proceeds will go to Save the Children, a cause Bowie famously championed throughout his life, most publicly at his 50th birthday concert at Madison Square Garden in 1997.
A Weekend Immersed in the World of Bowie
The celebration begins on Saturday 7 November with an exclusive black-tie gala dinner at Cameron House, prepared by Michelin-starred chef Graeme Cheevers of Glasgow’s renowned Unalome. The centrepiece of the evening will be Regent Sounds Presents: Earl Slick’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Guitar Auction, featuring collector-grade guitars signed by rock legends including Brian May, Peter Frampton and Duff McKagan, with more to be announced.
Across both evenings, guests will enjoy screenings of rare, never-before-seen Bowie film footage and an extensive photography exhibition curated by Chris Duffy – son of legendary Bowie photographer Brian Duffy – featuring work from all five iconic Duffy/Bowie sessions: Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, The Man Who Fell to Earth, Lodger and Scary Monsters. This is the first ever exhibition in Scotland.

Earl Slick (Guitar): The razor-sharp sonic force who first joined Bowie for the 1974
Diamond Dogs tour. Slick’s masterful, cutting guitar work defined the eras of Young Americans and Station to Station and he remained a trusted collaborator decades later, returning for modern masterpieces like Heathen, Reality, and Bowie’s acclaimed 2013 comeback album, The Next Day.
Mike Garson (Piano/Keyboards): Bowie’s longest-serving band member, whose avant-garde, jazz-infused piano solo on the title track of Aladdin Sane remains one of rock’s most iconic instrumental moments. Garson was a musical constant throughout Bowie’s career, playing on over a dozen albums and traversing the globe from the final days of the Ziggy Stardust tour to the triumphant 2003/2004 A Reality Tour.
Gail Ann Dorsey (Bass/Vocals): The powerhouse bassist and striking vocalist who anchored Bowie’s live band from 1995 until his final concerts. A fan favourite, Dorsey is immortalised by her spine-tingling vocal duets with Bowie on “Under Pressure,” most notably during his legendary, career-defining headline set at Glastonbury 2000.
Mark Plati (Guitar/Bass/Musical Director): A pivotal creative collaborator during Bowie’s late ’90s and early 2000s renaissance. As co-producer, musical director, and multi-instrumentalist, Plati was instrumental to the dense, modern soundscapes of Earthling, the long-lost Toy album, and the band’s historic, critically lauded Glastonbury 2000 performance.
Sterling Campbell (Drums): The rhythmic engine room of Bowie’s later career. First joining the fold in the early ’90s, Campbell provided the dynamic, driving beats for critically acclaimed albums including Outside, Heathen, Reality, and The Next Day, while powering the band through Bowie’s final monumental global tours.
Callum Beattie (Vocals): Scottish singer-songwriter from Musselburgh, who built a devoted following over a decade of relentless gigging before headlining his first arena show at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro this October. Now on his third album, Indi, Beattie blends the influence of Bruce Springsteen and Arcade Fire with the voice of a working-class Scot, having started out busking at the Edinburgh Festival aged 15.
