Foton Set to Bring a New Dimension to the UK Pick-Up Market with Rugged & All-Purpose Tunland Double Cab

Foton Tunland

Foton, China’s leading commercial vehicle brand, is preparing to introduce the unique all-purpose Tunland to the UK. Bringing a fresh proposition to the pick-up market, the Tunland has been designed to balance rugged capability, advanced technology and refined everyday driving.

Set to launch in the UK in early 2027, the Foton Tunland combines the presence of a full-size pick-up with a comfort-focused interior and contemporary design. It’s aimed at customers who need more from their vehicle than traditional workhorse functionality alone. From demanding professional applications to family life and weekend adventures, the TUNLAND offers flexibility and versatility across a broad range of needs.

The UK introduction marks an important step in Foton’s international growth, bringing the brand’s global expertise in commercial vehicles to British customers seeking additional choice in an increasingly diverse LCV sector.

Bold design. Versatile capability.
The Tunland makes a strong first impression with its commanding and bold stance, prominent front grille, distinctive lighting and muscular proportions. Its spacious double-cab configuration combines a practical load bed with ample seating for five, offering a flexible solution for both leisure and business use.

Under the bonnet, the Foton Tunland features a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system and an eight-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain combines the low-speed assistance of electrification with the familiar usability of a diesel pick-up, delivering a balance of performance and efficiency.

The Tunland’s comfort-oriented suspension configuration further distinguishes it within the segment, with a multi-link rear suspension designed to enhance ride quality and composure, particularly when unladen. The result is a pick-up conceived not only for the demands of the working day, but also for longer journeys and everyday driving.

Technology and comfort at the heart of the cabin
Inside, the Foton Tunland brings a modern but usable approach to the pick-up cabin, combining a spacious layout with digital displays, modern connectivity, physical button controls and passenger-focused comfort and equipment.

The generous interior offers soft-touch, stitched premium interior materials. Features include a large central touchscreen, a digital instrument display, automatic climate control, wireless smartphone charging, advanced driver-assistance technologies and a full and opening panoramic roof.

David Clark, Brand Manager, Foton UK, said:
“We are pleased to introduce Foton to the UK, having previewed the brand to the market at the Commercial Vehicle Show earlier in 2026. The Foton Tunland represents our ambition to offer UK buyers a compelling alternative in the pick-up market, combining strikingly bold looks and the practical qualities they need with the comfort, technology and design they increasingly expect from their vehicles. Foton has many global commercial and engineering partnerships, meaning this is not just another Chinese entrant in the UK market. The result of this technical collaboration is a versatile mild-hybrid pick-up that can suit almost every requirement, be it business or pleasure, and we are eager to showcase the vehicle to the UK audience.”

UK availability
The Foton Tunland is expected to arrive in the UK in early 2027, with final specifications, pricing, model availability and further details of the UK sales and aftersales network to be announced in due course. Further information will be available from Foton UK ahead of the vehicle’s market introduction.
